Lady Luck

For the last couple of months, I’ve been working on a short film, directed by Derek Hudgin. I was the Director of Photography on this project, and I really like the overall feel of it. This was also my first chance to play with any sort of steadycam system. Check it out:

Here’s the trailer for Derek Hudgin‘s short film that I’ve been working on lately. I don’t want to give away too much about the plot, but it’s been fun shooting this thing so far. The full thing is coming soon.

My Marquette

This was another piece produced for the Diederich College of Communications at Marquette University. The concept is to show incoming freshmen what their experience will be like, as told by current seniors. The group of seniors that we got were great, because they all had unique stories to share. Thanks to Derek Hudgin, Adriana Saia, Marissa Evans, and Eric Ricafrente for helping out with this project, as well as Cassie McAloon, Cameron Tieuli, and Jacob Tarnow for producing, writing, and editing this piece.

Greg The Keg

It dawned on me that I never updated my site to include this short film that we shot this past April. Greg the Keg is a story about two high school friends, who steal a keg. This may or may not be the actual story of an event that happened to one of the co-writers on this project, Daniel Schergen. Thanks to everyone involved with this short. It was cool to do something a little longer than a music video or a short web piece. Also, most of this was shot at my house. Look for my brief cameo. It’s very Hitchcock of me. And special thanks to Kaitlin Creadon, her friends, and the rest of our BREC 50 class for making the party scene look awesome.

The Women of Lockerbie

Marquette Theatre asked me to put together a quick trailer for their upcoming show, The Women of Lockerbie. I had about a week to shoot and edit this piece, but luckily I got just the right setting and mood for what they were looking for. The play is about the Pan Am 103 crash in Lockerbie, Scotland, and they wanted a piece that encompasses the feelings associated with that tragedy. Thanks to Deb Krajec, the director, for giving me a clear idea of what she wanted, and a big thanks to Katie Doyle, who also helped work with myself and Deb.

Diederich Ideas: What’s So Funny?

I finally found video today of a show that I worked on last spring. The Diederich College of Communications at Marquette does a series called Diederich Ideas, showcasing a different part of the college in a panel or some other format. I worked on the two comedy shows in the “What’s So Funny” series, as well as the corporate communication edition. Watch for my cameo in What’s So Funny Part One.

MUTV Behind The Scenes

MUTV, Marquette University’s student television station, asked me to create a promotional behind the scenes video for them. This was another chance to play with at Sony EX-1, and I like how the final cut came out. For this project, I shot and edited the video, as well as created the background music. I’m very pleased to say that it is featured on the front page of Marquette’s Diederich College of Communications website. Take a look:

Taiyamo Denku – “Unhandled Crossings”

A while back, I shot and edited this music video for Taiyamo Denku. It was my first time shooting a music video on a Sony EX-1, and I really like how clear it came out. It was also the first time I had the opportunity to shoot a music video in a studio, with sets and lighting and a lot of good production value. I really had fun shooting it, and I hope that you enjoy it. Check it out:

Journey House

This was a semester long project that I worked on, along with Daniel Schergen and Lisa Mihelich. A big thanks goes out to everyone involved with Journey House, especially Cherise Myers and Jessica Herzog, who were very helpful throughout the entire shooting and editing process.
