This is kind of awesome. I just really like time lapse videos. I won’t say too much about it, because it’s only 22 seconds, but it’s a great 22 seconds. Watch the Bradley Center go from a near sell out Marquette vs. Georgetown game to a Milwaukee Admirals vs. Chicago Wolves game / Styx concert. Side note: That’s the only time Styx will ever be mentioned on this blog.

This isn’t available in stores yet. The patent is still pending. But if anyone is looking for a Christmas gift for me… this would be cool. It’s 36 cameras put into a ball, programmed to click when the ball is at it’s highest point. The photos that come from it are awesome. Steal it for me. Or not. Check out this really cool video instead:
Damn hipsters. Clever ad, though.
I’ve been meaning to do this post for a while. If you’re a local artist in the Milwaukee area, you should definitely be looking Jairo’s way for a photo session. He’s done work for some bands in Milwaukee, and his live music photography is pretty sick. Here’s some of my favorite live shots that he’s done. Take a look:

A Day To Remember

Dance Gavin Dance

Down With Webster

He also does promotional photos, senior photos, and pretty much anything else you would want photos of. Check out his Facebook, Flickr, and Twitter. You can also email him at jairophotography@gmail.com to set up a shoot. Go!
So… this is what we’re doing with our free time now, I guess. If you don’t know what “Planking” is, you’re not alone. And no, it’s not dirty. Planking is taking a photo of yourself laying as flat as possible, in a creative position. That’s all it is. I’ve just discovered this trend, via a sad new story, though. A man in Australia died attempting a planking photo, when he fell from a balcony railing. However, be prepared to have your mind blown (or not) by this planking photo compilation:
I’m kind of ashamed to find it funny, but it’s just a fad, right? It’s just this year’s version of photobombing or that stupid photo people do where they all jump at once (Which, for the record, always takes several attempts and looks lame when you try it in public). Also, for the record, this entire post was written while I was laying on my couch, or as I call it, “Reverse Planking”. Plank away, everybody. But do it safely.
This is incredible. This is Norwegian Videographer/Photographer Terje Sorgjerd, who shot some amazing time lapse footage of an aurora borealis in Russia. Turn your HD on and be amazed by “The Aurora”:
This is Terje’s most recent video, “The Mountain”. A time lapse of the Milky Way, shot on El Teide, Spain’s highest mountain. Really amazing video.
I can’t read most of the words on this site, so I can’t tell you the specifics of this video. It is from Switzerland, though, developed by a company called Yellowbird. If you hold the mouse and drag during these snowboarding shots, you can see all that is going on during each shot. It’s kind of like snowboarding with Google Earth following you down the mountain, I would assume.

I’ve kinda always wanted to surf. Too bad I live in Wisconsin. Regardless, Rip Curl made a sick video for their Mirage boardshort by using 52 Canon DSLR cameras in a wave pool. Check this out:
