Twitter and Facebook scooped me on this one. Within two hours, this track has a ton of plays. I don’t think I need to say more about that. Watch for the shots fired at Kim Kardashian/Kris Humphries/Amber Rose/ Wiz Khalifa. Oh, and he has a new G.O.O.D. Friday single coming out tomorrow.
Gerald Walker and Xavier Ruffin teamed up to present another very impressive music video that came out today. Xavier’s style is crazy, as seen in their previous videos together. This one is no exception. Check it out:
I first heard Gerald Walker for the first time in winter 2009, shoveling snow in my alley. At some point before that, I had downloaded his “Evening Out With Your Girlfriend” mixtape, named after the Fall Out Boy album. In the time since then, I’ve watched him evolve to create his own sound, and now he’s doing tracks with Cardo & Sledgren from the Taylor Gang. Oh, and there’s a track produced by none other than Timbaland, too. And he’s from Milwaukee. So, support him, will ya? Download “The Other Half Of Letting Go” by clicking here or on the album cover
Here’s the first official video from Gerald Walker’s “On Your Side” EP with Cardo from the Taylor Gang, featuring footage from their recent tour across Texas with Yelawolf. Enjoy. Also, there may or may not be some profanity. There. You’ve been warned.
Oh, if you want their EP, then click here, fool!
Gerald Walker is one of my favorite artists, so I was more than pleased when I found out he was doing an EP with Cardo of the Taylor Gang, who produced Wiz Khalifa’s “Mesmerized”. There’s also production from Sledgren, another Taylor Gang producer. I finally got a chance to listen to it all the way through today in my car, and I really like it. You should download it and listen to it in your car, too. Or on some headphones, or at the dentist’s office… anywhere, really. Click the picture or right here to download the EP.
In light of the Packers’ win over Philadelphia, I feel like it is more than necessary to put this song up for you to enjoy. Although there have been a flurry of verses over Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow”, this is a standout, especially for Milwaukee. Pizzle and Prophetic have created “Green and Yellow”, a Packers themed track for the playoff run.
Update: Here is the official video for “Green And Yellow”, shot at Lambeau Field:
Here is the audio only, if you want that for some reason.
Side note: When the Packers won the Super Bowl in 1997, the radio stations were playing the “Packerena”, a take off on the Macarena. Can we please make this song the anthem for this year’s playoff run?
